The Crane Hospital Radiator

Features of the Crane Hospital Radiator

The Crane Hospital Radiator stands out from similar models, such as the Ideal Hospital by the National Radiator Company and the later Neo-Hospital from Ideal Standard, through its subtly curved top. Over time, hospital radiators became progressively more curved, and the Crane model represents a middle ground—more curved than the Ideal Hospital but less so than the Neo-Hospital.

A key identifying feature of the Crane Hospital Radiator is the placement of its bleed valve. Unlike the Ideal Standard and Beeston Boiler Company hospital radiators, which had the valve attached to the bush end, the Crane model positions it in the top corner, away from the bush.
